Mama's bathroom refresh

My mom has been in love with the floating shelves in my bathroom for a while now and she's been begging me to come help her put some in her own bathroom, so this past weekend I ran over there with 3 stained [Minwax English Chestnut with a white wash finish after] pieces of 1x6x15" and some metal L shaped brackets. After clearing out the art she had there previously here's what we were working with...

We eyeballed the spacing and used a level to get them straight. We didnt want to deal with finding studs so we just picked up some cheap anchors from Lowes and screwed up each shelf into those. We used accessories she already had and printed some vintage advertisements for the frames. After staging them we ended with it looking like this...

Shes really happy with it and even thought they don't serve much of a purpose like mine did for me they sure are pretty. Next up is that blank wall directly across, I'm thinking a rustic "bath" sign? Next time!
